our mission

Vision is our mission. Restoring vision to people in developing nations is our cause. We are a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) organization with a focus on empowering local physicians and creating a sustainable solution to the blindness epidemic.

why vision?

Since 1986 Charity Vision has provided over 375,000 charitable surgeries to people suffering from needless blindness. We have built local networks in over 25 different countries and we average about 36,000 new sight procedures every year but we can do more. Much more. We can put an end to needless blindness. With your help. Join us. Join us in saving sight. Join us in saving lives.

our model

The secret of our success lies with our local physician partners throughout the world. We provide our skilled local physicians with the surgical equipment and supplies they need to be successful. They provide their talent and time at no cost. The result is a network of developing health services systems that perform charitable surgeries free of charge.

about the founder

In 1986, Dr. William Jackson and his wife Audrey spent 3 years serving the people of the Philippines. There they found a great need for medical care for needy children. As a result, Dr. Jackson began the Deseret International Foundation. Now operating under the name CharityVision, this program has been expanded to serve many other countries.
